In this fast-paced age of technology it is easy to become distracted and overloaded with the ever-increasing flow of information, and demands for our time and attention. This can lead to unhealthy levels of stress, compromising health and negatively impacting relationships both in our personal and work lives.

EACH ONE OF US IS THE CENTER OF A WORLD THAT IS SHAPED BY THE WAY WE PERCEIVE AND EXPERIENCE EVENTS, SITUATIONS AND PEOPLE.

The nature of the mind is to change moment-to-moment, usually carrying us forward into the future, or back into the past, rather than being in the present moment where life actually happens. What we call ‘mind’ is the totality of our conscious and unconscious experiences. Each one of us is the center of a world that is shaped by the way we perceive and experience events, situations and people. Simply put, thoughts and feelings create our motivation for action and behaviors, which in turn create responses reflected back to us from the outer world.

Over time many of our thoughts, actions and reactions have become habituated. This is a normal, helpful function of the brain, it affords us the ability to continually learn and evolve. Not much would get done if we had to learn each day how to button a shirt, drive a car, or how to use a computer! But, a less helpful aspect of this is we become habituated to thoughts and patterns of behavior that may be negative. The result can be on-going low (or high) levels of stress with some or all of the associated physio-pyschological side effects such as high blood pressure, weight-gain, anger and depression. This is just one example in a myriad of present-day challenges that affect people worldwide.

ULTIMATELY IT IS THE MIND THAT HAS THE POWER TO CULTIVATE POSITIVE STATES OF WELL-BEING AND HAPPINESS.

Meditation is the process of learning to master the mind through a variety of simple techniques that help to bring awareness to what is going on within our mind and body. Whilst the body is tangible and the mind is subtle, the two are inseparable, and ultimately it is the mind that has the power to cultivate positive states of well-being and happiness.

We are powerful, we are infinite potential and we are at the same time delicately tuned. Meditation can and will transform your life. Knowing your big ‘WHY’ and practice, practice, practice patience...because you are worth it.
