Relax, let go, be in the moment and open your, sweet, awesome, kind, bright hearts ?

Sometimes when we get side-tracked with our daily rushing around, taking care of others needs, fulfilling responsibilities we put self-care “somewhere over there”, after all we don’t want to be ‘selfish’. This is what we’ve been taught. It’s easy to be resistant to nurturing the self, so if this sounds like you, an awesome baby-step in taking care of your Self is to simply connect with the joy of others. It’s kind of like being exhausted on a long hike up a hill and all your friend has to do is to place a kind hand on your back-heart and walk WITH you, and somehow you feel a lift in energy, a shift into believing you CAN keep going.

So if you’re feeling a bit low energy, maybe a bit blue, first dance around and then get outside and around others! Smile at every person you meet, even when you don’t feel like it, the muscle movement of a big smile held for 30 seconds starts to release feel good neurotransmitters, same with laughing. Start out with fake laughter and before you know it it turns to real laughter. It brings us out of our head and into the present moment.

Movement will also make you feel better, and our mirror neutrons will love it when you observe the joy of another. If you can interrupt the flow of your thoughts long enough to be in the present moment you will find that it IS possible to find joy in the happiness of others. It’s effortless and powerful and contagious…in the best way possible! Random acts of kindness…the list is really quite infinite! All of these actions are powerful medicine for mind/body/soul ? .

Oh yes, one more biggie: gratitude! That’s a MEGA-super-power…I’m just sayin’ ?
